Hi! If you've come across this and don't know who I am, here's the basics. I graduated from the Computer Engineering and Creative Writing programs (dual degree program, huzzah!) at the University of Illinois. That's about it. For stuff I like, um, take a look at my interests. Or leave me a message. Or IM me. I won't bite. Hard. Unless you ask me to.

I don't really consider myself crude, I just have a very dirty mind. It fell in the gutter a long long time ago and has enjoyed wallowing in the filth ever since. It's having so much fun, I figured I'd just leave it there.

I'm not a religious person. I have my views of the universe and the afterlife and gods and such. I don't care if people have different opinions than those I hold. I'll try and respect yours if you try and respect mine. Please no preaching. I don't see my beliefs changing anytime soon.

I don't consider myself a good person. I don't consider myself an evil person. I am. I do good, I do evil, I do neither. Best tool for the job kind of thing.

I do drink. I'm not an alcoholic. I tend to drink socially. Occassionally I like to get smashed. Sometimes I just really want to stop thinking for a night.

Other than caffeine and alcohol, I don't do drugs. Once again, not my cup of tea. I have the sneaking suspicion that I'd lose my mind if I used drugs.

Once again, my mind is filthy. I will twist anything said or written into innuendo. Please don't hold that against me. But you can hold your body against me if you'd like ;)

My mind is set on over-drive. I'm a thinker. An intellectual. I love learning. I love reading. I'm not the smartest guy in the world nor will I pretend to be. But I can carry many types of discussions. Talking is good. I love to listen.

I'm an introvert. I'm getting better. At least I think so.

If I ever say anything that makes me sound like a pompous ass, I'm joking. I'm modest and humble. I can make jokes at my own expense and often do.

I can't dance. But I'll still try. It's fun. The exception to this is swing dancing. I'm reasonably proficient at that. I've taken a few classes in it.

An I'm-gonna-die-a-virgin hat is one of those circular floppy hats. Like the one in my default picture (the one wherein I'm crouching by a pond). I have several. I wear them occassionally even though it's false advertising.

I don't believe in sin.

I've pet koi before. It was fun. I'd like to do it again sometime.

I enjoy nature. I prefer forests and mountains to the plains. Sadly, that's where I'm stuck for now.

I'm 5'11".

I'm a dreamer. What my dreams are, I won't say yet. I doubt they're possible. But who ever claimed they had to be?

I eat meat. I'm a human. That's what most of us tend to do. If you're a vegetarian, good for you. But just like religion, please don't preach to me. I'm not going to be giving up the flesh of slaughtered animals anytime soon.

I like punk music. I like emo. I like other indie music. But I'm not a punk or emo boy or whatever label you'd like to brand me with. I tend not to like those kinds of labels. They don't do much to describe what a person is really like.

I am counter-cultural. Having a certain name on your clothing does not make you cool in my eyes. Coolness and respect and loyalty need to be earned. And once you've earned mine, you will know it.

And if you want me to make you an lj icon, ask me nicely and we'll see what I can do.
